  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced (or any preferred mushrooms)
  • 4 green onions, chopped (plus additional for garnish)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

    • Cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the cabbage, mushrooms, and green onions. Mince the garlic and ginger.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add Mushrooms and Cabbage: Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes until softened. Add cabbage and stir until it wilts, about 5-7 more minutes.
  4. Make the Sauce: Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and mix in chopped green onions. Serve hot over cooked rice, garnishing with extra green onions if desired.
