A nostalgic dessert featuring a crunchy pretzel crust, a creamy cheesecake layer, and a refreshing strawberry Jell-O topping with fresh berries. Perfect for potlucks, summer BBQs, or holiday gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale

For the crust:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar

For the filling:

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

For the topping:

  • 2 (3 oz) packages strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Optional: 1 cup frozen sliced strawberries (for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Make the crust: Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  2. Make the filling: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust and seal edges to prevent Jell-O from leaking through.
  3. Make the topping: Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Let cool for 10–15 minutes (do NOT let it set). Stir in fresh and/or frozen strawberries.
  4. Pour Jell-O mixture over cream layer and refrigerate until fully set—at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. Slice and serve chilled!
