Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Filling and Dusting:

  • 1/3 cup Nutella (or chocolate hazelnut spread)
  • Extra powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract.
  3. Prepare Dough: Mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms. Chill for 20 minutes.
  4. Roll Out Dough: Roll dough into a thin rectangle between two sheets of parchment.
  5. Add Filling: Spread Nutella evenly over the dough, leaving a slight border around the edges.
  6. Roll and Chill: Gently roll up into a log. Chill for 10–15 minutes if too soft to cut.
  7. Slice and Bake: Slice into 1-inch pieces and place on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden on the edges.
  8. Dust with Sugar: Let cool completely, then dust generously with powdered sugar.
