Bread:

  • 1 fresh ciabatta loaf or baguette (sliced in half lengthwise)
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Filling:

  • 46 slices prosciutto
  • 1 ball burrata cheese (about 4 oz), torn into pieces
  • 23 tbsp chili fig jam (or fig jam + a pinch of chili flakes)
  • 1 handful fresh arugula
  • Salt + freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Bread: Slice ciabatta or baguette in half and lightly toast if desired. Drizzle both sides with olive oil.
  2. Layer the Sandwich: Spread chili fig jam evenly on the bottom half of the bread. Add a layer of arugula. Place slices of prosciutto on top. Tear burrata and arrange generously over the prosciutto.
  3. Season & Finish: Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with balsamic glaze (optional, for extra tang). Top with the other half of bread and gently press together.
  4. Serve: Slice in halves or thirds. Serve immediately with a crisp salad or glass of wine.
