Roasted Peanuts:

  • 2 cups (300g) roasted unsalted peanuts (with or without skin)

Granulated Sugar:

  • 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar

Sweetened Condensed Milk:

  • ½ cup (120ml) sweetened condensed milk

Butter:

  • 1 tbsp butter (plus extra for greasing)

Vanilla Extract (optional):

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Salt:

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep Pan: Lightly grease a parchment-lined square baking dish (8×8-inch) with butter.
  2. Cook Base: In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt sugar without stirring until golden. Then, stir in butter, sweetened condensed milk, and salt.
  3. Mix in Peanuts: Add roasted peanuts, stir until coated, and mixture thickens (2–3 mins).
  4. Set Candy: Pour mixture into dish, spread evenly, and let cool until firm (about 30 minutes).
  5. Cut & Serve: Once set, cut into squares or bars. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Substitute brown sugar for a richer flavor.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top for a sweet-salty contrast.
