For the Cake:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped Oreo cookies

For the Frosting:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temp
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to wet mixture alternating with sour cream.
  4. Fold in Oreo chunks. Pour batter into loaf pan.
  5. Bake 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  6. For the frosting, beat butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until creamy.
  7. Spread over cooled cake and top with crushed Oreos.
