Rich, fudgy, and made without flour—these brownie waffles are everything you love about brownies but in crispy-edged, waffle form. Quick, indulgent, and perfect for breakfast or dessert!

Ingredients

Scale

Waffle Batter:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Waffle Maker: Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Mix Waffle Batter: In a medium bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add eggs, cocoa powder, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Stir until smooth and fully combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Cook Waffles: Spoon batter into the center of the waffle maker (about 1/3 cup per waffle). Cook 3–5 minutes, or until waffles are cooked through and edges are slightly crispy.
  4. Serve: Serve warm with a pat of butter, syrup drizzle, or more chocolate chips!
